We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email, profile photo), listing items (photos, descriptions, pricing), and communicating with other users. We also collect device information, usage data, and push notification tokens to provide and improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: operate and maintain the marketplace, process transactions and payments, facilitate communication between buyers and sellers, send order updates and notifications, improve our services, and prevent fraud or abuse.
3. Information Sharing
We share limited information with: other users (your public profile, listings, and reviews), payment processors (Stripe) to complete transactions, shipping providers (Shippo) to generate labels, and service providers that help us operate the platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Sellers who connect via Stripe Connect provide their financial information directly to Stripe.
5. Photos & Listings
Photos you upload for listings are stored securely and may be processed by AI tools to generate descriptions and detect item characteristics. Listing photos are publicly visible on the platform. When you delete a listing, associated photos are removed from our storage.
6. Communications
Messages between buyers and sellers are stored to facilitate transactions and resolve disputes. We do not read private messages except when necessary to investigate reported violations or support requests.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for legal and accounting purposes. When you delete your account, your profile is anonymized and personal data is removed, though some transaction records may be preserved as required by law.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights
You can: access and update your personal information through the app, delete your account and associated data, opt out of marketing communications, and request a copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@stillsparkly.com.
10. Push Notifications
We send push notifications for order updates, new messages, and important account activity. You can manage notification preferences through your device settings at any time.
11. Children's Privacy
StillSparkly is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a user under 18, we will delete that information promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of StillSparkly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
